Red or Green?

Definitely green!  My fave color is blue, but my fave color to wear is green since it goes well with my hair and eyes which are both brown.

Favorite Christmas carol?

O Holy Night sung by Josh Groban.  I absolutely love his voice!

What do you want for Christmas?

B&N gift cards are always a plus!  I of course want to get books, and I have so many people can’t just buy them for me, so I ask for gift cards.  I took totally go for some photography accessories as well.  The focus is the kids though, my nephew has certainly racked up from me this year!

Favorite holiday treat?

My mother’s fruit salad.  It is one of those things that is a must and is expected at Christmas dinner!

Favorite holiday tradition?

Hmm, we really don’t do many traditions.  Used to be, we would open one gift one Christmas Eve, then the rest the next day.  Because of schedules we started our gift giving on Christmas Eve instead.  I just love being with everybody.

Pet Peeves?

Hmm…most of my pet peeves are roommate related since I currently have 3 roommates.  Namely, the fact that the water gets turned on while I am  in the shower quite often.  I also hate it when the ceiling fan light is turned of by the pull string instead of by the light switch.  I’m short, it’s hard for me to reach.

Give us a glimpse into a typical day in your day starting when you wake up till you lie down again.

Well, I try my best to get up at 6am, check my blog and do my posts, get ready for work, take out the dog, fight early morning traffic to work, have my nice 8-5  work day, trying to sneak check blog emails, go eat with my nanny like I do nearly every night, head home, take out dog, do blog stuff, read, hit the sack at my early bed time and do it all again the next day.

Pizza or Pasta?

That’s a really tough question, but I guess I might have to go with pasta since it isn’t as greasy as pizza is, though I love them both!

Favorite sport?

I am not really a sports person.  I was a band dork, and my life revolved around band during high school.  I love to play badminton.  I just can’t seem to much get into sports.  I don’t understand why people like to scream at their TVs when they watch sports, either, lol.

1.  What is something people would be surprised to know about you?

Well, most people are quite surprised to find out I work at a jail.  I’ve been at the jail for 7 years, and many people think it is a really scary place, but I guess I’m just desensitized to it because it isn’t freaky to me, lol, not even before I worked there because my mom works there also, so I heard stories she would come home with and I decided it was a place I wanted to work as well.

2.  Beach or pool?

It kind of depends really.  I like the pool because I can see what is in it and the water isn’t salt water that stings my eyes, but also, the beach is much more beautiful than the pool and not quite as crowded as a small pool.

3.  If you had 24 hours alone, how would you spend it?

Reading of course, and probably lounging around.  I don’t get much relaxation time, so that’s most likely what I would do.

4.  Coke or Pepsi?

Sweet tea!  I’m a southerner, what can I say?  Plus, I am rather strange and I can’t drink anything carbonated since it makes me rather sick.  So nothing bubbly for me!

5.  If a movie was made about your life, who would you want to play the lead role and why?

Natalie Portman!  She is a wonderful actress and could play anything part that comes her way.  Plus I like that she is gorgeous with her brown hair and brown eyes (same colors as me), not the typical blonde with blue eyes.  It’s hard to judge a person based solely on what you see on TV, but she seems like she would be a genuinely great person.

1.  If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three things would you want with you?

I’d have to say my personal library, family, and my dog.

2.  What is one book everyone should read?

I talk about this book all the time, but it’s because it’s that awesome, Tuesdays with Morrie.  It’s a fabulous, meaningful read and I definitely think everyone should give it a shot.

3.  If you could have any superpower what would you choose?

The ability to control water and breathe underwater.  I love the water, and I think it would be super awesome to be able to control it and breathe in it.  Kinda like Percy Jackson.

4.  Harry Potter or Twilight?

As much as I like Twilight, I’d have to choose Harry Potter over it.  It has so much more in it than Twilight does and it’s a more powerful series.

5.  Gum or breath mints?

Definitely gum.  I like to crack my gum, too, which drives some people crazy, but I don’t even realize I do it at times.  Gum lasts longer for me than breathe mints.

1.  What is your favorite season/weather?

 I am definitely a early fall person.  About the end of September, beginning of October.  Perfect weather!  Nice and cool mornings with comfortable afternoon and evenings.

2.  PC or Mac?

I’ve never used a Mac computer before, so I’d probably just stick to PC.

3.  Favorite music?

Actually, my music can change with my moods, and I have a wide variety of music that I like from rock to alterative to country to soundtracks.  I can’t care too much for rap, though, and I love piano music!

4.  Facebook or Twitter?

I’m mostly a facebook person, though I do have a Twitter, but I’m still very new to it.  Honestly, I’d probably Tweet more often if I’d stop forgetting I have a Twitter.

5.  What TV show/movie/book do you watch/read that you’d be embarrassed to admit?

Actually, I don’t think there is anything that I’m embarrassed to admit that I read or watch.  It’s hard to embarass me, so there hasn’t been anything embarrasing yet 🙂 I’m not even embarrased to admit I cried in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

1.  If you could meet one person who has died, who would you chose?

     My person, is noone famous, but he is someone who means a lot to me, and that’s my grandfather.  He died shortly before I turned two.  Everyone has told me how he used to tote me in his arms and he looked like a big bear carrying a little baby.  I miss him even though I never really got a chance to know him. 

2.  Chocolate or Vanilla?

     Definitely chocolate!  Vanilla is too plain for me, haha.

3.  What do you do in your freetime?

     Read, of course, but aside from that there are a few things I like to do, but mainly it’s catch up on the many TV series I like to watch or spend time with my family.  I recently switched from 2nd shift to 1s shift, so I have more freetime than I used to to try to fit as much I can. 

4.  What movie are you looking forward to this year?

     Breaking Dawn!!  I even have my ticket already for the midnight showing 🙂 Can’t wait!

5.  Spontaneity or planning ahead?

     Generally, I like planning ahead, but every now and then spontaneity can be a good thing.
